Back in February of 2011, Kendrick Lamar held an in-store signing where he greeted fans and played new music. Among those songs, Kendrick performed “Temptation,” which was produced and included a verse from J Cole. Since then, we have not heard much about that song, but now we may have the answer. In a recent interview over the weekend, Cole confirmed that he and Kendrick Lamar are working on a collaborative album that fans have been waiting for a while now. “I just started working with Kendrick the other day,” said Cole in an interview with Hot 97.5 . “We got it in, finally, again. It’s gonna be an album, man,” This is great news for fans, who have heard the two work together on a song named “HiiiPower,” off Kendrick’s Section.80 in 2011. “We actually worked, bouncing ideas, which was great. The vibe was so good that it was like, man, that’s absolutely gonna happen,” added Cole. Initially, many thought the two would just work on a mixtape together, but it is good news that this is an album. In addition, he added that the two have about four or five songs recorded together already. If you are a fan of these two like I am, then you know that this album has the power to change the Hip-Hop game, and could be one of the best albums we have heard in years.
